Allwyn D'Silva Monteiro

Independent Advisory in Governance, Compliance & Operational Trust

About

My background spans regulated financial services, including client servicing, grievance redressal, compliance and due diligence (KYC, PEP, UBO), IT governance, information security, business continuity planning, and cross-functional operations.I have worked closely with leadership teams navigating regulatory scrutiny, operational complexity, and stakeholder expectations.
My advisory approach is practical and grounded — focused on what works in real operating conditions, rather than theoretical frameworks.

What I Do

  • Governance structures, oversight frameworks, and decision accountability

  • Compliance readiness.

  • Operational control design

  • Translation of regulatory and legal expectations into practical operating processes

  • Prioritization and sequencing across multiple workstreams

  • Investor, partner, and stakeholder readiness.

  • Early identification and mitigation of operational and reputational risk

My role is advisory and independent. I do not replace management or execute day-to-day operations. I support leadership teams in making defensible, well-structured decisions.

Advisory services are provided independently and in accordance with applicable regulations. The advisory does not involve transaction execution or referral-based selling.

In addition to organizational advisory, I support individuals and families in situations where risk, long-term commitment, and financial exposure intersect, drawing on deep experience in client servicing, grievance redressal, and consumer protection.

  • Advisory support on selection and structuring of health and motor insurance coverage.

  • Claims support and grievance resolution.

  • Escalation and documentation review.

  • Advisory input on significant personal purchase decisions (including vehicles), where insurance exposure, total cost of ownership, and long-term risk considerations are material.

How I work

  • Engagements are structured, time-bound, and outcome-oriented.

  • Short foundational advisory phases (30–60 days)

  • Defined advisory scopes with clear deliverables

  • Periodic review and oversight, rather than continuous execution
